Derby and Nottingham Sling Library cover a large area of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire with currently 6 meets across the two counties. 

 

The locations we have meets are, Derby, Nottingham, Mansfield Woodhouse, Bradmore (near Keyworth), Stapleford. Please see the Meets page for more information.

 

We are one of the largest Sling Libraries in the country with over 750 slings available to hire. Please let us know if you are looking for something specific, have a look here for a list of what we have in the library

Derby and Nottingham Sling Library is 100% volunteer ran with a large team of dedicated volunteers, to see who you are likely to see at which meet please see the volunteers page. We are ran as a Not for Profit Social Enterprise where all the money from hires and out of meet services are reinvested in the library to benefit the people of Derby and Nottingham attending the Library.

 

Derby Sling Library was originally set up after the was a distinct gap in the libraries open for hire in the midlands. I set the library up since it is a much needed resource in our area. Before now Derby and Nottingham residents have had no local library to go to. I opened the library using my own personal collection of carriers and babywearing items, collected from 2010 during my own journey from babywearing daddy through necessity, to toddler carrying for ease and onto tandem carrying for pleasure.
